Description
Gardenia can be either a house plant or a garden plant. The most fun point for growing gardenia is its extraordinary ornamental value and fragrance of its flowers that last from summer to fall. Gardenia can also be an excellent bonsai plant.
Care tips
Gardenia prefers acidic soil. Therefore, peat-based soil meets this requirement. When grown as a garden plant, it should be partially shaded while direct light is preferred when the temperatures are low, especially during wintertime. The plant stays well with bright indirect light. Keep the soil moist but avoid over watering. Gardenia requires temperatures above 60°F.
