They are members of the Araceae family, which also includes caladiums, elephant ears, anthuriums, and callas Peace lilies are attractive indoor foliage plants that produce showy white flowers. They are one of the few foliage plants that will flower in low light. Peace lilies can tolerate low temperatures or low light and thrive in high humidity, making them perfect for a well-used but cooler-than-average bathroom. They are also said to be excellent at cleaning the air in a room. Peace lilies like to be a little root-bound, so you don't need to repot often. If you see roots starting to poke out from the bottom of the pot, it's probably time to repot. Care Tips Light. Peace lilies can tolerate most light levels, but prefer bright, indirect light. Avoid direct sunlight, which can scorch the leaves. Water. Water your peace lily when the top inch of soil feels dry. Water thoroughly.
