Care tips
Lucky bamboo is very easy to grow. The plants like bright indirect light but can take dimmer light. These plants are sensitive to some chemicals, mostly chlorine and fluoride in tap water. Therefore, bottled or distilled water is recommended. If you choose tap water that may contain minerals benefiting lucky bamboo growth, collect the water in advance and let it sit for one or two days before use. To avoid bacterium, fungus and algae growth, change water weekly during the hot summer and less frequently in the winter. Clean the container and filler once every three months. Lucky bamboo usually does not need feeding. If bottled or distilled water is used, the plants may be fed once in a few months using a soluble fertilizer for houseplants. Dissolve the fertilizer by following the instructions (if only used for lucky bamboo, a small volume may be prepared with the same fertilizer : water ratio stated in the instructions). Add one drop of the solution each time when you change water. Doing so for three weeks for each feeding period.
