
What you will get:
You will receive leaf cuttings from a collection of African violet plants of eight different colors (Photo 1). Each set of leaves contains one leaf from each color. To facilitate your rooting process, we also include options for 3" deep square pots with inner root guide grooves. These square pots allow you to root your leaves individually without taking too much space and make it easier for future transplantation.Â
Description
Leaf cutting propagation is feasible for some plants. African violet is one of the easiest of these plants. Leaf propagation is not only very useful to obtain new plants but also very interest to watch new baby plants to emerge and grow. Observation of cluster of baby plants growing out from the bottom of a leaf petiole can be excellent learning project for young kids and can also be a great fun for our plant lovers.
Here, we have a collection of eight African violet plants of different colors. Success with rooting the leave cuttings will provide you all these plants growing under your care and for you to enjoy for years to come.
Leaf rooting of African violet is very easy. It can be done by using regular potting soil, sand or water. Photo 2 shows a collection of leaves form the plants of different colors and those rooted in water (lower left) and sand (lower right)
