Fun points The peperomia green plant (Peperomia obtusifolia) is a low-maintenance plant with a compact in size. Therefore, it does not take much spaces and is suitable for indoor display. The plant resembles young rubber tree and therefore is also commonly called baby rubber plant. The plant has a very vivid look because its large, glossy and dark green leaves. The variegated form of the plant has cream color along the leaf edges. Like other peperomias, peperomia green has a very interesting long spikelet inflorescence. Such upright little "tails" are characteristics of most peperomia species. Peperomia green is also one of the succulents with thick leaves and stems.
Care tips Although peperomia green tolerates low light, its does the best under bright indirect light. The variegated form of this plant is more sensitive to direct sunlight. Because of its succulent nature, it tolerate drought well and should be watered when the soil becomes dry. The plant likes a temperature range similar to the one that we feel comfortable. It does not need frequent feeding and may be fed infrequently during the growing season.
